I downloaded a program called Audacity so that I could make a recording and email it to someone. In that program's preferences, I changed the audio output to my headset and the input to my headset (which has a mic). i did the recording and all was fine. I then changed the prefs back to what they originally were, BUT for some reason, ever since then, some audio is only playing through my usb headset and NOT through the speakers! And this is when using OTHER programs, NOT Audacity....example, I will go to YouTube and play a video and the audio will only play through my headset. If The headset is disconnected, NO audio will play at all. If, however, I play something in iTunes, it will play through the speakers as normal.

I uninstalled Audacity and even did a repair permissions, but I still have the same problem. I even restarted several times. Any ideas how to fix this? FYI, I am running OS X, latest version on a pre-Intel Mac Mini.

Edit: Mods, I think I made a boo boo. Coul dyou move this to the appropriate forum? My bad...thanks.
