Bought this 4 days ago and am truly wowed. This is the best mac I've ever owned. A fabulous machine. Even so, I'm having some difficulty with my wireless signal. Although my usually excellent Netgear wireless router is only five foot away, I'm only getting a 4 bar strength signal on my top bar wireless signal display. On istumbler I'm noting quite a few other routers in the vacinity of my flat. So I've switched to alternative channels as suggested in various forums. But still no joy. The signal remains the same (4 bars occasionally fluctuacting to 5) and my surfing and download speeds are pretty slow compared to my ibook 500mhz (which shows a constant 5 bar signal strength). So is this a problem with the airport card in these iMacs? I've heard of a few other iMac owners having similar problems. Could it be a hardware problem on my specific computer, or is it a known issue which Apple will rectify in future updates? How are others finding their wireless reception?

I am also having problems with my wireless signal. Every few minutes I loose internet connection while the other wired computers in my house do not. It is very dificult to IM with other since I am always getting cut off. I called Apple and they said they don't what could be causing this problem, they said possibly my cordless phone is interferring. However even if i dissconnect the phone it still happens. Any ideas of what is going on?
