Okay I have a few questions to ask about the iMac before I buy it lol. I am going to get the 20" Core 2 Duo version with 2gb ram, extra vram and Logitech S530 pack. Okay here goes:

1. Can you use the built-in speakers aswell as external speakers for an extra added sound boost.

2. Wot kind of games can the graphics card handle e.g Doom 3, Far Cry.

3. Can the Windows portion of the Hard Drive be on an external drive.

4. Can the built-in iSight be used with other non Apple applications.

5. Why can't the 20" use a VESA fitting?

6. Dimensions of the iMac 20", hieght, bredth, depth and the lenght and height of the screen. I
need these mesurements to see which desk I buy, got a couple picked out but one has a shelf
above were the iMac would go so I want to see if it will fit.

There is another question I have just forgot what it is though lol I hate when that happens lol. I'll add it once I remeber again. Any comments would be much appreieted. Cheers.

Internal speakers are always disabled when external speakers are attached.

An iSight can be used with any app that supports an attached camera.

All the measurements should be available in the tech specs on Apple's site.

I understood that if you had exterbal speakers attached you could decide which sounds went to which speakers, ie, system sounds to internal speakers and music and movies to external speakers, or does this only apply to external speakers connected via the optical port?

1. Not that I know of.
2. Look up some benchmarks. In general, the iMac will play modern games just fine.
3. I have been trying to do that, it is not supposed to work, but I might be able to get it to work.
4.Yes, I use ivezeen and BTV Pro. Well, I have used the demos anyway.
5.I dont know.
6.http://www.apple.com/imac/specs.html It has the dimensions you seek.

Okay, I am thinking of buying an imac and need to know if Internet Explorer will work on it. The reason i ask is that for my work I need to access 3 or 4 websites that can only be accessed with internet explorer (unfortunately). Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

You're kind of hijacking this thread, but search for Boot Camp and Parallels.
