Hey Guys,
I am in a little bit of a dilemma with the Mac Pro's Optical Audio Out port. I have a logitech z-5500 speaker system that I am trying to hook up to my Mac Pro through the Optical Audio Port. I have an optical toslink cable going out of the Mac Pro port into Logitech's main unit. I open ITunes and play some songs but it doesn't work. All I hear is the Mac Pro speaker. The logitech's unit displays "Optical Input: No Digital Data Detected" (this message by the way is a standard message that would appear on the unit if its not recieving any feed from a device)
Any thoughts on how I may fix this problem. Is there some sort of a change I need to carry out in the Mac Pro.

you have to change your audio out in the Sound preference pane.
or you can use SoundSource.

look inside System Preferences. Then look in Sound. Output is the 2nd tab.
if you have trouble locating, use Spotlight or serach.
