I was wondering which is the best extension/add on for Mac Mini Intel. I would definitely want a 7200RPM drive in it connected through firewire. Would also like to have memory card reader built in. Lastly, since I will be using my PC with it, a USB switch would make it perfect so I could share one keyboard and mouse with the Mac and PC.

Thanks

I'm not sure what you're after - are you asking for specific recommendations for those types of add-ons? And you might like a built-in memory card reader, but you're not going to get one

I'm surprised that nobody has thought of this yet. I think it would be awesome if someone made a base for the Mac Mini that has your 3.5" Hard drive bay along with a built-in card reader.

Also, since the Mini is a BYOKVM, a switch that allows you to shift your Video, Keyboard and Mouse between the Mini and a second computer would make sense in this expansion.

Not to be mean but, a memory card reader in a Mac Mini on the front would make it look butt ugly. Which ruins the sleek sexy look.

If you are looking for a external HD for your Mac Mini look here: LaCie - mini Hard Drive & Hub - USB 2.0 & FireWire 400

But I don't think you will find a base with a card reader....
Signature depreciated.

Could always make one if that's an option.

Maybe the card reader could be on the side? I have to use an external card reader connected through USB and that makes the mini setup look rather untidy.
