Has anyone try using the Mac Mini as web server?
Is this a good option for a small office option (intranet/network storage).

Sure. Why not? I haven't done it, but there's no reason why it wouldn't work very well.

It is fine where you don't need anything high capacity/throughput. I use an iMac DV SE as a web/afp/ftp server. It does just fine.

Google "mac mini colocation".
I think you will find that it is a very popular piece of web hardware.

My iMac DV 400 does a great job as a server too...
