Hi All,
As the title says, my iSight on the 24" is not working. Went to do a video chat with my sister and was suprised to not have any controls over iSight in iChat. I'm getting errors like there's another program running the iSight and tha I should close those programs...All I had open was iChat. Running 10.4.8 and am current. Just wondering what's up.
Is there some way I could've dislodged it in shipping. Took a trip in a 26" suitcase via Northwest to the Philippines. Booted up fine, but the locking latch on the suitcase took a nick out of the top. I know I should be thankful that that's the only problem, especially considering the mileage it's been through...but what gives??? Any help appreciated. Deleted photobooth and then reloaded it off systems disk, still no luck.
Thanks,
jmwmnl

I've done a couple searches off of the Apple discussions, I'll include a few of them in links:

and then also:

In sick way, I'm kind of curious how Apple is going to deal or spin the situation. If you guys have any clues...please enlighten me. iSight wasn't a deal maker...just an added bonus. The whole 24" intel chipped iMac has been giving me hickups in one way or another. Having network problems, as well as Airport Ex Base station issues. Not sure what's going on.
I've tried the PRAM and SMC resets, but I'll try them again, and they haven't really done anything. I can't mount Techtool Pro, as I need an updated CD for that because of the Universal/intel problem on their end... life is good other than that. Hope the links help someone
