Hi,

I just noticed that I have a 'Processor' System Preference in the other category at the bottom of the System Preferences pane.

When I click on it, I get a pane with a picture of the Processor and it says PowerPC 970FX v3.0 (tech 0) and it has some specs on the processor such as number of cpu's, speed, bus speed etc.

Is this new to Mac OSX 10.4.7? I don't remember seeing it before and its not on our iMac G4 at 10.4.3 sitting across the room.

It is part of the Developer tools (more specifically the CHUD tools) and is mainly for use by people who need to test their software under single and multi-CPU conditions. I assume you installed the Developer tools software on your G5, but not on your G4?

Except for iMac G5s only have one processor. This a G5 only option that is part of CHUD.
