Is there any way (without having to take apart the computer) to tighter the "neck" on a G4 Flat Panal iMac (17", 1 GHz). It is a little loose.

it may not be the same problem as you are having but when these things first came out some of the necks were loose (display was a little crooked) and apple suggested owners take them to the apple store. they were taken to the back and a couple of minutes later were returned fixed. they didn't have time to take them completely apart before they fixed them. so your answer may be yes. now how is a different matter. maybe a trip to the store if no one can give instructions.

I have the same issue with my 20 inch Intel iMac. The hinge is a little loose so it will start looking "down" after an evening. I have to keep repositioning it almost every day.
