I have a 20" Imac Intel and some 40 year old Kenwood 60w floor speakers. How do I connect the speakers to my Imac--or can it be done? Thanks.

Sorry about the double post. The first one didn't appear to post, but obviously it did.

plug an earphone jack into your imac and via an adapter into the back of a stereo receiver or amplifier. speaker wire to speakers completes the process. turn the imac up loud and use the receiver to power the speakers. (your imac will not power the speakers on its own)

You need a receiver in addition to the speakers.
