Hi All

Awe man, I think my Mac Pro is bust, a day after I get a motherboard replacement! Today morning reading the news the front fan started reving up and hasn't reved down since, no matter how many times I restart in OS X / WinXP or whatever. I ran the diagnostic disc which spat out this error: 4SNS/1/40000000: TH3P. Although during the tests it did manage to run at normal speed and noiselevel for 5 min... There is no load on any of the CPUs or GPU... the fan speeds up before logging on to my desktop.
Does anyone have a suggestion? I really don't want to give it in for repaires again as they Mac ppl in Vienna are just complete dimwits, as I said, I had the Mobo replaced yeterday, and for that I had to wait 5 weeks! This is a nightmare! Argh!

Thanks for your help in advance!

What is the temperature in the room where the computer is? When I first got my Mac Pro, the graphics card was not seated properly and the fan on the graphics cards was on full blast. It was very tricky getting the card to seat properly, but I finally got it in and the fan was no longer running at full speed. Can you feel air coming out of the graphics card slot?

The temp was nominal. It turned out that while I had it in for repairs for the first time, the techies didn't put it together properly and one of the fan censors thought the front fan malfunctioned so it rev-ed up every other fan in the system to keep the computer cool. However, I was in no position to figture that out so I had to take it in today. At least I was a big enough pain for them to fix it on the same day while I waited.
