Let me start off and say that I'm not the easiest guy in the world to please. I've got 20 years of hardware / software manufacturing VENDOR experience. I've worked with DEC, HP and IBM workstations, SUN with X-windows (which I thought was awesome at the time. I did love my X. Still do). I've got 15 years at Intergraph in software manufacturing , etc. etc. I'm not bragging, just trying to tell you where I'm coming from.

And I've got to say that Apple has really made the effort of compiling a BALANCED hardware client platform. All the components work in harmony with everything else. You can FEEL IT, if you will. Add great industrial design and and a truly competent and stable operating system and it is truly a pleasure to sit in front of the screen for hours at a time and enjoy the experience. I just can't explain it any other way.

Good to see that you are pleased, I do not have a Mac Pro but rather an iMac and I know what you mean, I've described to people as a sense of stability that you can feel in the product, though I like your use of balanced, that really does describe what I think Apple has been striving for. So Macs I've owned have felt this way, others have not, my G3 is great and stable/balanced, my PowerBook G4, not soo much, still a good machine but it doesn't feel perfect.
