Did anyone try how this works in boot camp?

I tried quake 4 in my 1.66 duo mini, and it's slooooow. However, I was thinking..what about my half life 2? I gave it a shot..and was very impressed.. The game runs SMOOTHER than the PC I built specifically for gaming! The only (and only) downside was the game would crash sporadically, especially after autosaving.

So when I was playing other PC games I used to play like morrowind, I started to wonder if the intel GMA 950 card was as crappy as it sounds. Morrowind also played smoother than I rememebered, and load times are way faster. It's like 1/2 second. So of three games, quake 4 (and I assume doom3 as well) cannot run on the mini.

Quake 4 is slow either cuz of software emulation by the chip in a feeature it can't do (vertex shading) or OpenGL.

So I'm wondering if anyone tried oblivion on it?

Well, sort of. The main feature that the GMA 950 lacks is the T&L unit, transformation and lighting. It is still done in software, ie by the CPU. GMA 950 actually supports Vertex Shader 3.0 (but only Pixel Shader 2.0) but only in software emulation which does indeed contribute to the slowdown.

According to Intel, Oblivion won't run at all.
