Weird. I have a first generation Mac mini G4 too and never had that happen.

What brand RAM?

Weird in deed. One stick is an Ultra and the other one is Advanced Modules. The mini requires
DDR PC2700 cl=2.5 Unbuffered Non-ECC 333Mhz +2.5V stick. Both of the burned out sticks are PC 3200/2700 and 400Mhz and one of them is +3.0 V. I wonder if the spec is the issue. Is the Mac really picky about its RAM?

Mae sure you have Tempreture monitor and SMC fan control to mae sure you mac doesn't over heat.

For insatnce, when you're watching a DVD, possibly set the fan speed a little higher then normal.

Is there a way to control he fan manually that I don't know of? I don't recall seeing any thing to do that. Sometimes when i gets to certain, hte fan will just turns on making some noise, but I thouht it's all automatic.

Download SMC fan control here, and you can control your fan speed.

Download Temperature Monitor here, and it will tell you how hot your Mac is.
