So, I got my mac mini last year to power my entertainment system . . now that the apple tv is coming out, I want to move my mac mini upstairs to my bedroom to power that system and then have the apple tv power the main entertainment system. I also got the new apple extreme base station that has the wireless N connection. My concern is that the mac mini's wireless g card won't be able to transfer the HD content that I ahve on the network, so I want to be able to switch the G card with the new N cards hidden in all the new c2d mac minis. 1) Where would I find the card. 2) Does my setup sound right or should I switch and have the appletv upstairs (which would defeat the coolness and wow factor of having it in a more public place )

The new minis actually still use Core Duo, not Core 2 Duo. And replacing the card, even if such a replacement existed, probably wouldn't work because of the extra antennas required that are not in your mini. Plus, even the current minis aren't compatible:

Apple - 802.11

So there's really not much you can do unless someone comes out with a USB 802.11n access point.

Another option but be one of those ethernet bridges. I know that they are made for 802.11g, so I would think that they will be offered in 802.11n eventually. They probably work better than USB adapters but they are more expensive too.

If your base station is near your mini you could just hook up the Mini to the Base Station with an Ethernet cable and then wirelessly to your aTV. Might be cheapest to try that first if your situation permits.
