Anyone know of a sleep compatible USB2 PCI card? I have a Belkin card in my old Digital Audio which would sleep back in the 10.3 days, but now it's no dice under 10.4.8.

I have a 4-port USB 2.0 PCI card by adaptec inside my MDD. It works fine under 10.4.8, however my rule is removing all the 'mass storage class' device(s) before putting it to sleep mode. Things like iPod, card reader, etc.

Could you tell me the brand, model number and chipset of that card? Or post a link of that model? Thanks.

I believe that's the one I have.
USB2connect 4000. Pretty much any USB PCI with a NEC chipset on it will work.

I just bought two 5-port USB 2.0 cards from CompUSA and slapped them in my Quicksilver and my MDD and both deep sleep like an old fart after a turkey dinner. The cards were $24.95 each. No drivers. Just install and go.

*Edit: The brand was the CompUSA brand BTW. They had Adaptec and Belkin's there for significantly more.

I use a generic card with an NEC chipset and it works fine. I had issues with cards with Via chipsets.
