I'm the newbee with little experiance with imac, I received this imac PowerPC G3 233 MHz/512k cache/32 MB/4GB HD/24x CD-ROM/modem #3872P912 and on another sticker it says 825-4382-A. I think this is a bondi blue? When I turn it on it sounds good, I hear misic I see images but after about 25 seconds there is a box that says: The system software on the startup disk only functions on the original media, not if copied to another drive. this box is over another box that says: Mac OS 9. I do not have any disks or know which one to get
Sounds like someone's idea of an install is to just copy files over from the install CD. You'll need to get hold of some system CDs, OS 8.5, OS 9 or X. (Though OS X will probably take up nearly all of the HD space.)
