Hey guys,
I just got an original iMac for word processing at work and when I plugged it in to boot it up... I hear the chimes, and then about five seconds later it shuts down. Any ideas? I tried to boot from the original cd by holding down "C" ... I tried holding down P + R + Option + Control. I need HELP.

Sounds like it's bad. Does it have an HD?
