Hi all,

I just bought my first Mac this weekend and I love it so far. I have a problem though. I can't access SOME web sites from my Mac Mini. When I try those same websites on a Windows machine they load without any problem. I'm using Firefox on both machines (Safari can't load those websites either).

I'm connected wirelessly to the internet and can access both the internet and the other machines on the network from my Mac.

Here's my configuration:
- Mac Mini 1.66 Ghz, 512Mb, 60Gb
- OS X 10.4.8
- Safari and Firefox
- Office 2004
- Adobe Acrobat 8

I didn't change any network or firewall settings from the default configuration.

Any idea anyone? Thanks!

I have no problems accessing either. Try emptying your browser cache.

Thanks for your comments but I don't think any of you really understood that I wasn't asking whether you could access one specific website from your computer, but rather I was saying that I had problems reaching some site from my mac, as they were working from my Windows machine, and I was trying to get some input to find a solution to my problem.

Anyway, problem resolved. PeerGuardian was running in background, but for some reason there were no triangle under it's icon in the dock, so I had no idea it was running; it was also autoloading on startup, but again silently. Problem fixed, everything it working fine now.

The idea of telling you we can get to the site indicates that other Macs can get there and that the problem is local to you. What kind of response were you expecting? How can we know everything you have running on your machine?
