Just recently I had this very very strange problem.

I booted up my Mac, I used Cache Out X (A great program) before I started, and then I opened up Safari and iChat.

About 2 minutes later, the screen flickered black...then 10 seconds later it totally went black.

To get it back up again, I had to hold down the power button to get the screen up.

The cables are fine, but I have my iMac on a stable desk. But when Im typing the monitor will move around slightly But I doubt thats the issue.

iMac 2007, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33 Ghz, GeForce 7600 GT 256MB, 2 Gb RAM, 500 gb, etc.

OSX Tiger, the most recent update.

Anyway, I think the solution maybe power surges. I was playing WoW and I had it flicker on me again but it was constant for about 10-15 seconds, then it just stopped.

I went ahead and put "Sleep" to never activate. But I did leave display on to 10 minutes.

I resetted the PRAM, and everything seems to be fine now...
