i read that you can't over clock a mac pro. but i dnt see why not because the tempetures of the CPU are so low! that i dont understand why apple wouldn't allow it. isnt their any way round it?

To overclock you need a chipset firmware (BIOS, EFI, etc) that allows you to change the multiplier and/or FSB. Apple has no interest in you overclocking, so they haven't added the ability to change either of those to their firmware; this is pretty standard for Intel's retail motherboards. Most of the overclockable motherboards come from third parties (with Intel or other chipsets).
