My wife's iMac G5 (revision B, I think) is close to a year-and-a-half old, and last week it just stopped working — wouldn't turn on.
I called Apple, and the guy on the phone said it might be a specific known issue (he didn't say what), and if so, they'd fix it for free. Apple Japan picked it up from my door at 7:30 in the evening on Wednesday, and returned it fixed with a new power supply Friday morning. Talk about service.
