A friend of mine seems to have a strange issue with her iSight, it works fine in photobooth, but doesn't work with any IM programs, it doesn't even show up under the list of options in sightspeed, or AIM.
It should work in iChat. Which talks with AIM. And once you set it up, it works with MSN too using Jabber. No idea if video chat works between iChat, AIM and MSN though. I suspect iChat to AIM is most likely to work if anything does.
Aside from that, firewalls have an irritating habit of blocking video chat traffic.
