I have a iMac G3 Bondi Blue Tower, running OS X 10.4

I want use disk utility by booting from my OS X cd on my 3rd party drive but I can't locate the stickie where I posted the key combination.

Can anyone help me? I've tried Starting up holding down #1-"C", #2-Command,option shift c, and other combinations. I've ben unable to hit upon the right combination.

Thanks for any and all help.

Option+Boot or C+Boot should boot off the CD.

Keep in mind that some third-party drives ARE NOT BOOTABLE on a Mac - Apple's Open Firmware looks for some special stuff that some drives don't have in their internal firmware.

Also : like in your other post, there is no such thing as an iMac Tower. You either have a Blue & White G3 PowerMac or you have a blue iMac G3.
For all the trash I talk, I sure own a lot of Macs...

Hi,
Sorry to be sooo... stupid but which key is "boot?"
I have used this third party drive to boot from before. My husband now uses the G3 and it's been so long since I've used it, that I forgot which keys to use.

I have a Blue & White G3 Power Mac running OS X 10.4.9

Thanks for your time and help. MUG

The power button. So to boot from CD, power the machine on and then hold down the C key.
