Couldn't wait any longer. Just ordered a 24" iMac w/ 2GB, and NVIDIA 7600 video.
Hope I don't regret it.
I was holding out for minor tweaks to the iMac line, but now it is more looking like major changes could be ahead. I didn't want to be experimenting with a new design and 10.5 for my day to day usage. I will wait to move over to 10.5 later.
I will hold my breath for the next week or maybe two hoping nothing comes out that I wish I had waited for. After that I think I will be OK. If it is a major change I will be glad I bought this one.
Speculation question.
If I set this up to use Boot Camp on the separate partition and then 10.5 comes out with integrated BootCamp, will I be able to reclaim my partition without having to completely erase and reset up the hard drive again?

"Integrated Boot Camp?" I wouldn't hold my breath on that. Why would anyone want to mix the nastiness of Windows file structure with OS X? Besides the fact that it is probably not technically possible unless Leopard works with NTFS or FAT disks. In any case, when you remove Boot Camp now, you can remove the extra partition without reformatting. So you'd be fine.
