Are there any Apple 'special' or press events coming up? It's been a while since an update...

There have been so many threads that have talked about when the new iMac/Mac Mini/Mac Pro updates are coming. On MacRumors.com, the buyer's guide shows that we are way overdue for an update. However, the closest Apple event is mid-April. After that, its WWDC. I gave been waiting since Christmas, with giftcards in hand to purchase a new Mini. I wish I knew when they were coming.

I suspect the Mac mini will be updated in the next couple of months, but nothing says they need a special event for that update. In fact, I'd bet that they get just a quiet refresh at Apple.com.

The thing is, it's no big deal to the general public, just to us, and those like us.

They can't upgrade it that much, otherwise it'll be competing against the lower-end iMac. I'd love it if the Mini got eSATA or FW800, a C2D processor and a 3 (or 4) GB RAM limit, but Apple can't very well have the Mini outspec their middle-end machines without potentially cannibalizing sales.
