Sorry I'm a pc guy. I buy and sell PC's.

I came across a machine that I could not pass up.

It is a g4 iMac 800 mhz cpu 256m ram and the flat screen that has been converted to a TOUCH SCREEN.

The company that modded the iMac is listed in the below link.

Troll Touch Touchscreens

Now the problem I have is, this machine was used as a store display and has a Kitchen Aid application that fires up on startup. It is a touch screen sales pitch for there products.

The OS loaded is 9.2. I need to bypass this kitchen aid software so that i can get into the OS.

In windows I can use a key command to drop to desktop. Is there a command to do so in Mac OS 9.2.

also where would I go to remove the kitchen aid software from the startup folder(if mac even calls it a start up folder). Sorry I have years of PC experience and near 0 mac knowledge.

Sorry for my newbness. But, I am a fast learner.

I have a copy of OS X I want to load on this system, I just need to get into the OS first.

Hold shift on boot all the way to the desktop (or just quit the app: apple (also called command) + q), then remove the app from the startup items folder in the System Folder.
