My MP cam with 2 GB of RAM spread across 4x512MB. I've ordered 2 GB more but they'll be 2x1GB. What's the ideal way to set these up in trays?

1. 1x2 alone on card A, 4x512 on card B
2. 4x512 on card A, 1x2 alone on card B
3. 1x2 and 2x512 on card A, 2x512 on card B

I am also assuming that in all cases the 1GB sticks need to be placed in the slots closest to the machine.

Thanks in advance for your help.

1 and 2 are the same thing, and either is the best option.

Please search before posting like the forum guidelines tell you to; your question was just answered near the bottom of this thread.
