I just got an MDD G4 I fixed it up really nicely..
Now heres the issue.. Im debating on getting rid of the mac mini and using the MDD G4 as my main system..

I miss dual monitor support.. Which I could get on the G4.. I wouldnt have all these external drives.. I could put them in the G4.. My question is is the MDD G4 still a player for system usability..

Sure, MDDs are still usable. You'll get better performance from an MDD. The only reason to go for a mini instead is if space is an important concern.

The mini I have is a core duo 1.66ghz model.. with 1GB RAM

I have a nicely upgraded MDD and I love it, but I see the appeal of a mini since I am moving to a new apt in the next few weeks. I certainly wouldn't trade down to a MDD, but I also won't give up my MDD now that I have it.
