I'm about to move into a new house and i would like to have my iMac G5 (osx 10.4.9 1.8 GHz Power PC) hooked up to my wireless internet. I already have a Linksys WRT54G Wireless-G Router. Which works great on my new MacBook.... What do i need to get my Imac on the wireles internet??

Thanks!

One Airport Extreme card, to go! Pop it in, fire up the iMac, connect!

would it be possible to do some sort of access point. Have some hooked up to the cable line then wirelessy send that to the upstairs office to a router. That way i can be hard wired but have the option to plus other non wi-fi computers to it...

if so what you you recomend buying for my iMac and my current Router

The options are nearly unlimited. But quite simply with that Linksys you can plug it into your ISP's modem to generate wireless and cabled networks for both Macs and PCs. As long as you are working with "g" speed cards like the iMac's Extreme. Dealing with "n" speeds will require an "n" speed router and an "n" speed adapter for the iMac. If you need to extend the wireless coverage you can get a repeater, stick with Linksys, same brands tend to work better together.

Can anyone tell me what to buy using the Linsys site -

Wireless -
Linksys.com - Products/Wireless/Basic Networking

Router that i have - Linksys.com - Products/Wireless/Basic Networking/Broadband Routers/Wireless-G/WRT54G

Basicaly i just would like to be able to have the cable line downstairs and get the internet upstairs to a line connection into my iMac.

Any recomended setups?
