Fastmac has superdrives and bluray drives available for many recent mac models. i was considering getting one as my Matshit drive is now region locked. I have AppleCare, and i was wondering if i ordered one of these drives and had an Apple technitian at an AASP, instal it for me. would that void my warranty ?

Cheers

Not wishing to spoil anyone's fun -- speculation is, afterall, a great spectator sport -- I'd say the only place you're going to get a fully qualified answer is from Apple itself. You have an AppleCare agreement in place, so give 'em a call.

Once you have the answer, it would be useful if you would care to share it here.
