I watch videos on websites and video podcasts. When I do, the video is choppy and looks more like a series of still photographs, but the audio works fine during this time. I have a cable modem, a iMac 600 mHz G3 with 640 mb SDRAM, and I am running 10.4.9. Also, I have 25 GB of space available on a 40 GB hard drive. Can I do anything to remedy this problem?

You don't mention what kinds of movies you are watching (Youtube? Quicktime?), but chances are you need a new machine. A 600 MHz G3 just doesn't cut it for today's online media. You can try more RAM first, but I'm not sure that would help.

The problem happens with YouTube videos, video podcasts, Quicktime videos, etc. I haven't always had this problem, which makes me believe I can fix it. Someone suggested upgrading the AGP card. Thoughts?

Unfortunately, you cannot upgrade an iMac's video card. The computer is just too old to play modern video formats.
