Hello

Got a brand new Mac mini (late 2006 model), irregular circular and very soft scratches can be seen on the upper part, somehow the protection paper produce them, they are around Apple logo... are these normal scratches? or the upper part should be brillant and with out any scratch when the computer is brand new?

Best Regards

Yeah, my G4 mini had them. I didn't notice them at first, but I'm pretty sure I didn't do it. If they're really noticeable I guess you could complain.

Thanks for answering. Wanted to buy a second one, but I'm not sure anymore, maybe this mini (late 2006 models) is part of rests of the rest or refurbished ones...

Well if I complain then the mini may need to send to Apple's service and repair facility and from past experiences I'm really afraid that the computer returns in a real defective status.

Unfortunatelly there is not much information on the web of mini users reporting the similar scratches neither being the cover surface highly prone to scratch and I suppose that at the unboxing stage the cover surface should be brilliant and 100% fine.

By the way, the mini is a cool machine...
