Local computer store is making some big changes, changing from one chain to another. They are getting out of retail and are doing only corporate sales. My company is a corporate customer and we were emailed yesterday, informing us that beginning today everything was 50% off. We were incredulous, thinking it applied only to certain items.

Turns out it was true so I got the following:
- 24" iMac, retails for $2249 CDN, for $1125
- Apple TV, retails for $349 CDN, for $175
- 30 GB iPod, retails for $299 CDN, for $150

Grand total of $1450. Needless to say I am ecstatic and had to post.

This makes such a nice home machine. I think my 20" Core 2 Duo iMac I have at work is going to seem a bit worse now though.

One of our developers picked up a MacBook, as did my business partner, and one of our graphic designers got a 17" iMac. We bought a bunch of misc PC stuff as well.

WWDC revision or not, you are the leader of the day. A price that you would be retarded to walk away from!

Apple could announce quad-core 30" iMacs next week and I wouldn't have buyer's remorse. I got an insane deal.

That goes double for me, cuz he's in Canada too.

Mind you, it would have been a little difficult to drive out to Fredericton, NB.

P.S. If it had gotten this deal, my head would have exploded, so perhaps it's a good thing I didn't.

That sounds like selling at a huge loss. Good for you, triplezoom.

Well.. you would if the quad-core 30" imacs next week were $1000.

on a different note,

EUG, that sig looks funny. What are you doing to that Apple that makes the smiley face? Makes me feel uneasy for that Apple.

wow, thats amazing!

I was playing with a 20" and 24" iMac today and with a 30" monitor for the Pro in store today.

I've never had a mac but i've known for some time i want an imac. just a question of waiting until october for the new operating system. I really want the 24" but i think i'll end up with a 20 unless next week changes my mind!

Good luck with the new setup. my gf just bought a 30gb ipod video today, amazing.

Great deal, triplezoom! Good for you, man. Congrats!

And Eug, that picture is awesome. I'd love to live somewhere that looks like that. Just gorgeous.

I would've bought ALL they had, even if it meant taking out a loan.

You could've bought ANY system you wanted after selling some stuff!
