I have a 1.25 GHz MDD (non-FW800 model), and I want to snag one of these Dual 1.25/1.42 GHz daughtercards snagged out of a working MDD machine (failed MOBO). Can I simply drop it in and expect it to work (obviously the replacement comes with its own heatsink/clamp)?

Thanks!

Yes, a Dual 1.42 CPU will work in your machine without issue.

Oh that's nice to know, (my MDD is also a 2003 single 1,25 GHz OS 9 bootable model) it would be really nice to put a dual CPU on it
