Question about compatibility.
I have a G4 466 that died recently, I suspect its just a dead power supply. Replacement power supplies are $200-$300, but I found a used G4 400 tower for $50. Worse case, I'll just use the 400 instead of the 466. But, anyone know of the power supplies are interchangeable? If so, I'll just swap em' and use the faster machine.

If you fancy a challege, you should be able to convert a normal ATX power supply to work in that G4 using the guide below. It was written for a Quicksilver but you should be able to adapt it to fit your G4.

You could easily get a replacement power supply for that machine on eBay for $80~.

I just bought one for a friend two days ago for $55.

Thats still more money than the $50 working computer I bought. Plus like I said, it might not even be the power supply, I'm just figuring it probably is.

Except that the cost of shipping on said computer has thrown you well beyond the cost of a replacement PSU. That and the power supply in the machine you bought will not work in your 466 because it isn't pin-compatible.
