lol just looked in my mac specs to find that under Graphics/Display it says "ATY,RadeonX1600" not 'ATI' for chipset anyone else with an iMac or any other machine that takes the 'ATI Radeon X1600'?
Apple does that for ATi chips that they have bundled, so they can detect them in software. They've done that for a decade at least. Back then, Apple's driver wouldn't work for an OEM ATi board even though it could have - simply for testing purposes.
