Hey Guys,

I am just looking into buying 2 monitors and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on which monitor would be suitable for doing video post production work. I don't do HD yet, but will get into it once the prices for blue ray dvd players go down?...Any suggestions on Monitors...Looking into buy 2 of them and paying 1600 dollars for 2 apple 23" cinema displays right now just doesn't make sense?

The 23" Apple monitors are really nice. I have one of them and the image quality is stunning. But you should probably wait to get the revised monitors that will have most of the problems that plague this version, solved. And one other thing.
The built quality I'm afraid isn't that great. You have equal chances of getting a display with some sort of problem. My first one worked for the first week and then decided not to!!
This one has some uneven illumination issues. It's not that big of a deal and most of the people don't notice it. Not unless you tell them that is. And both of them had an adaptor that made a high pitched whiny noise. You probably won't hear it especially if the adaptor is on the floor along with your machine.
But for that much money you should get a pristine quality monitor.

The ACD's are way over priced. You can buy better monitors for far less. Samsung monitors are cheaper and have IMO better looking panels.
