hi,

help! before we moved a few months ago iChat worked fine, then we got a new cable modem from comcast and nada. I get "Could not connect to AIM Account name or server is not valid"

Apple=clueless and no help.
Comcast=clueless and less help.

I don't even know where to start.

Damn, I had this problem as well after getting a new modem, the solution was to tell iChat to use a new port. it worked too.

I will try to find that and give you the port to try.

Maybe this will help.

Using iChat with a firewall or NAT router

it has to do with ports not being open on the router.
