Is there a web site that shows the location of the built-in extreme airport card on the Rev B
iMacG5(20 in) circuit board ?

Has anyone had the airport circuitry replaced on Rev B iMac(ALS) ? Does the entire motherboard circuit board get replaced ?
Thanks,
Ben

The airport card is separate on the late, non-iSight G5. I have had to replace one today actually. It was causing kernel panics.
Take the back off it, the airport card is just below the optical drive. There are two very short antenna cables attached to it, but the attach underneath so you may not spot them easily.

You can also search Apple's knowledge base for illustrated instructions for replacing that card. Go to Support, select computers and servers, choose iMacs, and the iMac G5 (pre iSight), then search for AirPort. You'll get a bunch of hits; look for the specific 20" G5 Do it Yourself file.

This page would also be good for you to bookmark. It has links to ALL the DIY manuals for your G5.
