What does it mean when I see a Finder folder during startup....before it goes to the Apple logo and then hangs?

Thanks!

I don't know about the hanging, but if you see a Finder folder for a couple seconds before it boots up, it just means that you don't have a Startup Disk selected, so it's searching for one. Go to System Preferences -> Startup Disk and select your Hard Drive.
