I have the first generation Intel-based Mac which I doubt is much different than the new ones. It has a 1.86 (2) Ghz processor, yadda yadda yadda.

I wanna know if I can succesfuly run a game like, Oblivion (a PC game), on my mac using Darwine, natively on my OSX. Will it work, or will it interfere with the OS?

Danke,

Unlikely to work, as it appears to be a rather new game, requiring significant hardware support. However Codeweavers' CrossOver Mac application is based on exactly the same code (with better testing and installer). They have a free demo, so you can try it out. Whether it works or not, it won't 'interfere' with your OS.

My bet would be that you're going to have to install Boot Camp and XP though.
