The last time I used Final Cut Express for anything significant, I was using my original G4 Mac mini (1.25Ghz). It ran okay, but many of the Real Time Effects wouldn't work, and those that did were anything but real time.

Now there's no doubt in my mind that my new planned setup (2.8 C2E 24" iMac and upgrade to FCE 3.5) will be a huge improvement, but will the new dynamic RT work as I would like it to, with minimal delay (Ideally no delay)?

*I realize when I go to complete the project it may take some time to do the final rendering, which is expected.
What, me worry?

While I don't do anything particularly heavy, I have been able to capture and view full quality, real time. I was previously operating FCE on a 1ghz Ti Powerbook. This is light years ahead of that experience. It is a joy.
Do you want forgiveness or respect?
