Does anybody here have information about the improvements of screens in the iMac line-up over the years?

Back to the question: I repeatedly heard how particularly good the matte 24" screen in the 2.16ghz white iMac is.

Is it really better? Is it closer to the cinema display quality than the rest of the iMac line-up?

And how much better than the 20" iMac iSight that I have?

Did a little research on that topic, and generally found the opinion in reviews, that the 24" display is brighter and more colorful than comparable MATTE displays.

That's a big one for me, and I might take the step to an upgrade because of this (not to mention the much faster processing etc. etc...)
