I have an older imac with a clear smoke case. When loading some software into it from a cd, the software load had completed and said I had to restart the computer it would not let me remove the cd. so I restarted the computer and it came up with a start up error, which it said it had corrected and was restarting and so it did, then came up with another file error and stopped, with this message. insert your os cd and restart.... Because the system is not able to get to the point where any sort of electrical cammand can be generated to eject the software cd that is captive in the machine. I cannot insert the os cd and so am stuck.
I cannot believe that apple built a machine such that you cannot get a cd out of it without totally dismantaling the computer. How do I get the cd out of it? HELP! Please!
