I have an iMac for my kids and I have gone thru two keyboards and still cannot get the number key pad to work on it. Does the iMac not recognize it? It's a first generation CoreDuo 17" unit from about a year ago.

What keyboards have tried? Go into Keyboard & Mouse preferences and go to the keyboard tab. Have the machine re-identify your keyboard.
