So, my mac mini freezes, on restart gives me the no startup disk icon. I had a cd in the internal drive, so set about trying try to eject it to startup on a utility cd. Mouse button held down on startup doesn't eject the cd, so i try open firmware. About three minutes after giving it the ejct cd command, it says "can't OPEN the EJECT device". So I try the boot cd in an external cd drive, it boots, open disk utility, and no internal hard drive or optical show up. Both drives are powered up and spinning, I'm rather mystified, any insights?
