So I just got a new in box Intel Core Duo 20" iMac. Not the new ones, but the old white one. 2 GHz Intel Core Duo, 1 GB RAM, 250 GB HD.

I go to take my account picture at setup, and the camera comes on and I can see myself for a second, and then it fades to black like it's trying to expose for a really bright light that isn't there. This happened again in Photo Booth.

HELP!!!

Few things to try....

Try a PRAM reset.

Try disconnecting all devices.

Can you get a screen grab of it??

I can get a screen grab, though I doubt it will tell you much... I am downloading and installing all updates, as it was a fresh install of 10.4.4, so perhaps that will help. If it does not, I will post a screen grab. In the meantime, how do I do a PRAM reset?

Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM

I'm sure you'll get it working somehow, if it works for a second, its gonna be a software not hardware problem!
