Hello all,

Does anyone know if can i use PCI video card in G5 with dead AGP slot?

If so, what card should I use?
I would prefer @ least a 256 MB card...

Is the whole video architecture tanked due to the AGP slot's death, or can I bypass the issue by running a PCI-X card to get video onto the screen?

Thanks,
-Rick.

You can run other video cards. But you need to specify your model of G5.

Some early models:
AGP slot + PCI slots

Some early models and all intermediate models:
AGP slot + PCI-X slots

Late models (dual-core models):
PCIe slots for all cards
