hi all. so my new imac rules. super nice to work on. unfortunately, it seems like there is an issue with its network connectivity (isolated only to this mac, as my others do not experience it ever). very regularly it seems like the network connection dies- ichat logs off, web pages won't load, email can't get pulled, etc. at times, it just seems stuck. i'll check other machines on my network and they are fine. i'll open terminal and check the ip (ifconfig) and it seems that i have an ip and all is well. can't ping anything. then i close a bunch of apps and open them and it will arbitrarily work either at that point or some point shortly thereafter.
most of the time the outages are very short- ichat logs off and 30 seconds later logs back on. this happens A LOT. maybe half dozen to several dozen times an hour (but most/almost all of them are very short).
anyone seen or heard of this behavior?
the only thing new on the network is this imac. thanks for any input.
